When you think of Joseph, son of Jacob, what comes to mind? Is it the boy who taunted his brothers with his self-serving dreams? Is it his multi-colored coat? Maybe his remarkable choice to run from Potiphar’s wife when she tried to seduce him? 

The story of Joseph presents us with an astonishing set of turn-arounds. Joseph goes from a pit to a nobleman’s house. He goes from an Egyptian prison to the palace of Pharaoh. There are lessons to be learned here about fortitude and faithfulness. But you may be surprised to learn that there are other layers to Joseph’s story, layers that resonate deeply with our brothers and sisters around the globe.
