While we were In The Text, we talked about the importance of viewing our relationship with God in the context of His purpose for the world. He wants to make all things new and redeem creation and world history. 

Our personal salvation is part of a broader collective salvation, which is itself part of the redemption of creation and history. If we view God as merely part of our personal story, we’re missing a huge part of the Bible’s story. 

  1. Are there times when you isolate your hope for personal salvation from the world around you? How might you better locate God’s purpose for your life within his purpose for the world? How might you engage in God’s global purposes as a part of your own individual calling?
