Prayer isn’t just bringing your petitions before God, it’s seeking Him and a relationship with Him. It’s having a conversation with Him. It’s including Him in our day from beginning to end. Seek Him first.

My favorite takeaway from the lesson was from Isaiah 36-37, when the Bible says that because Hezekiah prayed, God moved on his behalf. It is a reminder that prayer should always be my first response instead of a last resort.

It brought tears to my eyes to hear how deeply God longs to spend time with us and how He seeks communion with us. I need to be more respondent to Him in prayer.

I loved the imagery of God bending down to hear our prayers.

I’m very interested in the sentence He bent down to hear my prayer. A loving closeness beyond thought. It is a perfection through His status and His actions
