God wants us to pray
Jesus taught us to pray
Prayer brings me closer to God
It is not a gift that some people get, we all need to pray
It’s not “should pray”, but “need to pray”
It’s a personal connection with God -
I love the fact that God calls us to pray and that God hears and answers our prayers as a loving father, especially that he leans down to hear my prayer. Proactive prayer also caught my attention. I think I’ve been involved in some of this but never thought of it this way. We are more proned to pray when there is a crisis but proactive prayer is coming to God with the mundane things of life, the little things and the big decisions because He is trust worthy and we need his direction and guidance.

When David asked God to bend down, that image is powerful and one I will not forget.

The one situation where Hezekiah sought God and God turned things around and God responded “because you prayed”. Isaiah 37:21.
