I was reassured that God listens to my prayers and wants to commune with me.

There is power in prayer, it is our way to talk to God plus it is as important in the human life as Oxygen.

We must realize God really wants us to pray. He wants us to “seek HIs face…”1Chron. 16:11. He is waiting for us to get to know Him!

That He bends down to listen to us and that prayer is not a spiritual gift. It is meant for all of us. I love the words, “Because you prayed”.

God actually wants to hear from us. Scripture points our God answers prayer “because you prayed” He will answer. This seems to indicate that if we don’t pray, we will miss out on what God has for us. I think of the greatest prayer of all that we can offer…the request for forgiveness from our sins and to accept Jesus’ gift of salvation. We will lose the greatest gift of all when we refuse to pray that prayer. I also loved how Scripture records David’s prayer rejoicing because God bent down to hear his prayer…like a father bends down to show interest I what his child has to say. Its a beautiful picture of God as Father.
