Psalm 116:1-2, “I love the LORD because He hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.” This scripture really encouraged me because I had never thought of God bending down and coming close to me to hear my prayers. It is a very intimate picture. I imagined my prayers having to go up to heaven to reach Him, never that He would come close to me to hear my prayer. Like a Father looking in on his child as they pray.

That God rewards us for praying. That anyone can pray. That prayer is important and it is taking action.

Praying is not a skill. I can pray iin a way that express my gratitude for how good is God to me. Thankful for His grace, mercy and love to me.

I often think that to pray is to ask God to be with me in a decision that I had made. Now that my misunderstanding about it is clearer, I can in faith now ends my prayer “thy will be done” . All because I believe He care to bless me.
