It was good to remember that Christ is always working on our behalf, preparing a place for us, and ready to help us with our needs every day. It also is very comforting to remember that Jesus has been through many trials, temptations, and suffering during his time on Earth, so He understands our pain. Remembering who Jesus is and what He’s done for me allows me to experience His love in a fresh way. Praise the Lord for His love and kindness!

My faith is based on Christ alone. His Word tells me of the wonders He has given me.
-
it confirms truths that I’ve learned through my life from the Bible

It’s learning more and more of God (Triune). It bonds me more to God and I love Him the more.
-
It reminded me of the sacrifice, the love, and the compassion of Christ. How much He loves me, loves us, that He wants us to be with Him forever.

That we should so enjoy learning, practicing and outward believing the truths about God that we are changed and that change is not only seen by those around us but attract others to the life they see; this glorifies God.

Ever since I read 1 Timothy i realized the importance of being a good example. When Paul writes that letter he is very concerned about how the church, as a whole, is perceived by the public of non-believers. We must all strive to be a good example so that no one will have anything bad to say about the church and so the church doesn’t develop a bad reputation. I’ve never heard of the term adorning the doctrine of God, but its telling us to live what we claim to believe. Not just for ourselves but for others benefit

The idea of “adorning the doctrine of God” is a great visual metaphor. When we are adorned with the doctrine of God, people should see our lives reflecting his Holiness.

It’s not enough to have a practical doctrine. That doctrine must be adorned to attract others to the positive changes in our lives and glorify God.

The context impressed me – Doing good for the sake of the gospel. The emphasis in this chapter is the living out of the doctrines of God in order that the world may see Christ in us. This verse puts the emphasis on first that he slave should have the greatest desire to have their master, kind or difficult, to know the truth of God. They were to expose their master to God’s truth by maintaining an attitude of honest hard working humility .The doctrine of doing!
