This first lesson was deep. He is advocating for me in Heaven. Halleluiah.

it let me understand more about Jesus. the doctrine give me more information about trinity. God the father sent his son to die in my place so that I may have eternal life by believing in him. The Holy Spirit give me power in my daily work in the Lord.

That he in what he bore was a testament of his love for me.

Reflecting on the identity and nature of God and Christ always helps me reflect on the fact that God is both transcendent and immanent. It reminds me that God as the Creator is sovereign over all, but since Jesus came to earth as a human, he is also knowable and graspable.

God’s word is beautiful, complete, and perfect! We should hold his word to the highest standard, because it is the standard and we must follow the best we can.

Adorning the doctrine of God impressed me because we should live in truth, no other way truth. We have to put things in order so we can live our lives positively.

How I wear my beliefs of God in my daily life for the whole to see, and pray that I’m aware of it everyday.

Initially when I read these verses, I focused only on the slave part, and did not understand. After reading it again, I saw that making the teaching about God attractive. When I (as a slave to so many things) can focus my attention and resulting actions on God, then he becomes attractive to others.

I’ve never thought about “putting on” doctrine or “decorating” my life with it. The idea of allowing doctrine to practically flow from my everyday life so that others may be attracted to the Gospel is one that excites me. God’s unchanging love and what He has done for me is deserving of having an obvious presence in my everyday life.
