Theology can be intimidating for beginners. Many students have been overwhelmed by the diversity of opinions and sheer volume of information to comprehend. If they are to succeed in theological studies they must first establish a foundation of concepts and terminology on which to build their theological framework. In this course, Dr. Frame covers the essentials of all major areas of systematic theology with the goal of orienting listeners to the basic material necessary to understand and study God’s Word. Focusing on the overarching theme of God’s Lordship, Dr. Frame uses three “Lordship Attributes” (control, authority and presence) to organize the doctrines and help listeners remember and apply them to life.

The course is very Reformed and not very inclusive of other mainstream or evangelical traditions. While this is to be expected to some extent given how the Reformed Church has the most comprehensive systematic theology, it is disappointing to have the lecturer treat other perspectives with less sensitivity.

The lessons in this course are great. I have learned a lot and have expanded my thinking toward systematic theology. The lectures for this course are wonderful and the quizzes and the final were right on in all that I have learned in this course. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in systematic theology. I have really enjoyed taking this course.

This is a good basic introduction to Systematic Theology. I appreciated Dr. Frame's heart to share different perspectives and give space for different beliefs where Scripture gives space for different opinions. However, I felt that the quiz questions were often overly straightforward for a course marketed as an advanced course and could have been answered correctly by anyone who has a reasonably solid grasp of their Bible. For example: "Who was the child of the promise in the Abrahamic covenant?" I believe the answers were Jesus, Joseph, Isaac, and one other person who had nothing to do with Abraham.

This was a great course though the teacher and my position on the millennium differs but he did not force a view but stated each with their supports. this does make me hungry for more

The professor put everything into groups of 3. I liked the normative, situation, existential explanations and perspectives.
