One day the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Increase our faith!” (Luke 17:5). What a great prayer to pray! Jesus said in response, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you” (Luke 17:6). In other words, just the smallest amount of faith, placed in God’s hands, can do amazing things, which is why we need to ask for it.
In this lesson, you learned how to:
- Identify five common challenges or obstacles to praying.
- Recognize several practical, scriptural strategies for overcoming obstacles to prayer.
- Implement new strategies for overcoming obstacles to prayer.
Continue to Lesson 5: Praying for Others to learn the importance of intercessory prayer.
