We’ve looked at two of Paul’s prison epistles: Ephesians and Colossians. In this module we’ll look at the other two: Philippians and Philemon. We’ll step back and consider how being in prison affected Paul and his message. Then we’ll take a big-picture look at Paul’s view on slavery and other ethical issues of his day.

There’s a lot to discuss in these short letters. Philemon is only one chapter, but you’ll be surprised at what’s at stake if we move too quickly here.

So let’s find our way back to prison with Paul and look over his shoulder, get inside his mind and hear what’s in his heart.
