Minor Prophets, Part 1: Assyrian Crisis

In this course we’ll review and revisit the Assyrian crisis by way of three prophets: Amos, Hosea and Jonah. They each prophesied to the Northern Kingdom during seasons of plenty. At this point, no one was very worried. Let’s see why they should have been.

Our journey through Old Testament history books took us from the beginning to the end of Israel’s two kingdoms. The Northern Kingdom was terminated by Assyria. The Southern Kingdom was demolished by Babylon. The book of 2 Kings described all of this pretty quickly.
