Whatever
standard we are upholding must have contents in line with the scripture, which
is the word of God. We should base our curriculum, textbooks etc. in contents
with the scriptural principles.-
The book represents all our teaching materials, including curriculum, standards, and assessments. Like a sandwich filling, everything we do as Christian educators should be encapsulated in the scriptures.

Dr. Black is emphasizing that everything we do as educators needs to be surrounded by Scripture. I would even argue that another Bible could be placed in the middle between the curriculum and the textbooks, as we should be integrating Scripture in and throughout our lessons.
-
The book(s) can represent our school curriculum and the standards we teach in school. Therefore, the visual shows that the Word of God, which is the Bible, should be integrated with other subjects in the curriculum to convey its message effectively. As Christian educators, it should be considered the foundation—the first and last element—of every educational process.
-
The Bible is the most important among the other books. It reveals the truth and is important to achieve and attain a growing mindset.
-
She is saying that you and your teachings need to be surrounded by scripture. God’s word should be present in all of your materials you are teaching.

I’m always looking for new challenges to stay relevant, knowing that the times are constantly changing.
-
Applying past knowledge to new situations, thinking interdependently, trying new things constantly, these among others, are some techniques that had being encouraging me.
-
Some techniques that encourage my growth mindset are:
1. I always pray for wisdom to help me navigate challenges, so I can see the bigger picture instead of simply asking for the problem to be removed. (Romans 8:28)
2. I focus on being thankful for everything God has done rather than concentrating on my present needs, which can lead to complaining and negativity. (Philippians 2:13)
3. I encourage myself in the Lord by celebrating every success I achieve. (Jeremiah 29:11)

For this class, I wanted to find a program that taught the curriculum, vs. just trying to read it. I really wanted to learn and grow from this mandatory class instead of just getting it done.
-
To in a week, I should try and read articles or materials that will help me grow in my profession as Christian educator.
