Growth mindset is something I teach and encourage everyday with my students. As I watch them develop growth mindset and confidence, it inspires me to continue learning. I will never know everything or be perfect at what I am doing. There are always new ideas, techniques, and knowledge to gain.
-
Personally, I try to read articles and take online continuous professional development courses within my field of study.
-
I am always eager to learn and grow. Even after over 20 years of teaching, I continuously research best practices and seek input from our newly employed teachers to explore different teaching methodologies.
-
I view difficult tasks as opportunities to learn and grow rather than obstacles. I ask myself what I can learn from this or how this challenge would help me improve.
-
I keep a reflection journal which I look over daily, analyzing situations, and making a better strategy for situations I felt weren’t handled well.
I consult evidence-based research materials that apply to my grade level for growth nuggets.
