I believe she was seeking to explain that everything we do with with the mind of Christ. We must create lesson plans that based upon the Word of God.

Dr. Black’s visual of a book between two Bibles illustrates the relationship between secular and Christian education. The two Bibles represent the foundational truths of Scripture, while the book symbolizes the educational content educators use. This emphasizes that all subjects and methods should be rooted in biblical principles, ensuring education is both academically sound and spiritually enriching. It highlights the integration of faith in education, focusing on not just knowledge, but also nurturing students’ spiritual growth and understanding of their eternal purpose.

Dr. Black’s visual with a book placed between two Bibles illustrates that all aspects of education—curriculum, scope and sequence, and assessments—should be anchored in and guided by God’s Word. It demonstrates that teaching should start and end with Scripture, integrating biblical principles throughout the educational process.

I am a lifelong learner and have always been actively interested in the acquisition of knowledge as well as deep reflection in my experiences and reading to ask what God wants me to know and apply from each

I am a very social person, so the easiest technique for me to use is communicating with other teachers. I am surrounded by peers that have more experience than I do and I learn so much from talking with them and listening to them when they share. I also tend to ask questions about things and try to understand the why behind what is being done.

I am eager to hear what the Holy Spirit is revealing to me about the work He has entrusted to me as a student of the Lord and a teacher of His Word. It is wonderful so to see how something mentioned in the lesson sparks a thought that makes the puzzle of my vocational journey more coherent in light of God’s promises to me.
