Why is it correct to say that the church is both organism and organization?
Barbara Gile replied 6 days, 12 hours ago 15 Members · 15 Replies
-
The Church is a living and breathing organism that can draw an individual closer to the Lord. This organism can grow in size as the church family gets older. The Church can also be an organization that functions to produce teams that influence the communities they reach out too.
-
The church is both organism, and an organization because it is both alive and also functions as a non-profit organization (church).
-
The church is an organism because it is the body of Christ. It is living and functions as a whole body. It is an organization because it is governed by scripture which sets the rules and means of operation for the church.
-
Because, the church is an organism before an organization. Organism – the supernatural and invisible union of the body. Organization-operates in accordance with Scripture demonstrated on the principles of interpersonal relations.
-
The church is an organism because it is the body of Christ started when the Holy Spirit descended on those in the Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost (see Acts 2). The “body of Christ” – the church as an organism is described in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. On the other hand, the church is an organization because churches had qualified, designated leaders (e.g., apostles, prophets, evangelists…) who served the church under the Lordship of Christ, guided by both the Scriptures and the Spirit.

Why is the word “mutuality” important in communication theory?
Barbara Gile replied 6 days, 11 hours ago 15 Members · 14 Replies
-
Mutuality is important in communication because it builds in relationships which are important.
-
In order to communicate effectively, both parties need to take responsibility in a dialogue. They both need to be aware of the message that is being conveyed to the other person.
-
Agreed. Mutuality is two- sided. Both parties need to be aware of the words spoken and the meaning being interpreted to communicate effectively.
-
-
Mutuality is important because all parties must take responsibility for what is being communicated and how it is being interpreted.
-
Because, mutuality deals with what happens in communication when all the parties recognize that they are responsible for message and meaning. interpersonal communication and interpersonal relations are always mutual, they are never singular. it is always dialogue, it is never a monologue.
-
“Mutuality” is important in communication theory because if interpersonal relations were not “mutual”, then there would never be dialogue. It would be a constant monologue.
