Sociology is when mutuality, presentality and simultaneity exist. It is the study of both interpersonal relations and communication as well as the scientific study of the processes and products of human interaction – essentially it’s how human beings interact socially.

In the article Dr. Gangel said the church is an organism before it is an organization. He said in terms of an organism – the supernatural and invisible union of the body- forgetting the church is also an organization that operates in accordance with scripture. We must be one as believers and follow God’s law to function as a group.

The people in the church are all alive and growing, so should the church. But it is also an organization that has rules and conducts.

Because church is individual and also individual who gather together

It is correct to say that they church is both organism and organization because we can’t acknowledge or forget about one as we reference the other. As an organism, the church is the supernatural and invisible union of the body of Christ and it’s a Christian organization that should operate in accordance with scripture allowing demonstration of principles of interpersonal relations. The expectation is to achieve the individual goals and total purpose of the organization.

There needs to be a respect from both sides for communication to work well.

The word “mutuality” is important in communication theory because it happens when all parties recognize they are responsible for message and meaning. It is essential that all parties recognize that what they are engaged in is a dialogue and not a monologue.
