In the end, it matters how GOD defines what it means to be a man or woman of GOD. These beatitudes represent the hope for those who feel themselves as less than or not as important. All are welcome and have ownership of the coming Kingdom of GOD and can be experienced in this life.

This study reminded me of the responsibilities we have to each other, ourselves, and more importantly to God. The Beatitudes are a reminder of the blessings that God has now and in the future – both individually and as a community of believers.

It was helpful to be introduced to the distinctive features of Luke because it made me think about how those distinctions uniquely serve his divine purposes in articulating the Good News to the outcasts.

I did not know about this section in Luke. It is similar to the Beatitudes and sets a goal, or ideal for which to live my life. We should strive to live like this, not for ourselves or to look good in the eyes of others, but because it is what Christ calls us to do.

I feel like Luke puts them in more relatable terms. I can understand Luke’s more so than Matthew’s. In Luke’s I can easily say, “yep, that’s me”.
