In I Corinthians Paul discusses the church and the issues that impacted people at Corinth, provides a model for how the church should handle sin, and discusses the hope that we have because of the cross and the resurrection.

Don’t look to your left nor right look straight ahead.

it means that no matter what we see inside the church or community we should always remember Christ… Follow Jesus Christ.

Its all about the cross christ and unity of the believers. There were many divisions within the church due to christian being self-centred – Paul urges them to be united under the dross of Christ in unity.

Be Christ in all, for all, and to all for the glory of Christ’s name and His gospel.

If our lives are in Christ, we should live every aspect of our lives (including food, finances, marriage, legalities, etc.), as servants of Christ. As we surrender our will to His will, we will grow deeper to a Spirit-led life that seeks to bring glory to God and transforms us from being self-centered to others-centered.

1 Corinthians is about the cross, the crusifiction of the Messiah, being made unashamed. The cross needs the crucifiction and resurrectionj of Christ.

Christian Learning Center Forums Think of an area of conflict in your church or in the church at large today. Dr. Blomberg says that if we focus on the two doctrines of the crucifixion and the resurrection, the issues of Christian behavior will begin to fall into place. Explain how such a focus would affect a resolution of the area of conflict you have identified.
