Chances are, Paul surprises you with some of his counter-cultural statements on one hand and maybe disappoints you on the other hand with the ways he remains “respectable” in his culture. This should be a healthy reminder that Paul is not simply pushing a one-issue agenda on many social topics. He’s really promoting a whole worldview that avoids extremes on all sides.

Well, this brings our study to Paul and his letters to a close. We began with the book of Acts and the explosion of the gospel across the Roman empire. We ended with letters Paul wrote as he awaited his own execution. Letters to churches and letters to friends and coworkers. We’ve heard his apostolic heartbeat.

Now we invite you to join us in our next course, Hebrews, where you’ll discover how this extended sermon uniquely demonstrates the Old Testament pointing to Christ. Come join us as we unpack the interpretive layers in the book of Hebrews!
