When we talk about the deity of Christ, we’re usually talking about a theological idea. How could someone be both God and human? That was a subject that occupied many gentile theologians in the early history of the church. They often used philosophical categories to explain this mystery. But have you ever wondered how the early Jewish theologians made sense of Christ’s divinity? What Old Testament passages and concepts introduced God the Son to Jews, even long before the new covenant was established.
