[Record your answers in the workbook provided at the beginning of this course.]
If we’re not careful, we can get the impression that Jesus’ sacrifice was doing the same thing as the Old Testament sacrifice, only in a more complete or permanent way. But that doesn’t really capture the entirety of what Hebrews is trying to say about either Old Testament sacrifice or Jesus’ “better” sacrifice that was “once-for-all.”
- Read the passages, navigating in the YouVersion window. Discuss the ideas about sacrifice found in these verses.
- Psalm 40:6
- Psalm 51:16
- Isaiah 1:11
- Hosea 6:6
- Amos 5:21-22
- Micah 6:6-8
