So far, we’ve been watching the author of Hebrews describe Jesus the Messiah to Jewish readers. But there’s more. He’s also using an interpretive system that puts all of Judaism in a certain light. He’s making sense of the eternal permanence of certain institutions while also declaring some obsolete. How is that possible? Is the gospel about the end of Judaism or the fulfillment of Judaism . . . or something else? One topic that will help us answer this question is Sabbath observance. 

Before this lesson is over you’ll begin to see how relevant everything in the Old Testament still is today.
