This is significant because God wants humanity to be reconciled to Himself. He loves his creation!

We are the same way. We are rebellious and God also reaches out to us. It’s significant because it shows God’s mercy and his longsuffering towards mankind as whole.

Because we were created by God. In HIS image, and likeness. And, from a parental standpoint, our Heavenly Father. So, as a natural parent has unconditional love for their, so is his love for us, as his children. We are a part of who He is in the earth
