What do you make of God so far in our journey? After Adam and Eve were evicted from the garden, God issued words of curse along with a far-reaching promise of redemption. After Cain murdered Abel, God brought a new child into the world, a child whose descendants would bring blessing to the entire world. Now we’ll find a terrible flood of judgment followed, again, by a new beginning.

As we become more intimately acquainted with this God of Scripture, what will take your breath away—His frightening judgments or His persistent resolve to restart the world with blessing? Or both?

The Flood is a lot more than a children’s story. At the heart of it is the story of the Gospel.
