In retrospect, Isaiah made some bold and clear predictions about the messiah. But it wasn’t fully understood by his peers or by those in the first century who met The Messiah. This has been our first full lesson looking at Messianic prophecy—how it is anchored in current events and simultaneously looks centuries ahead to a fulfillment no one completely expected.

It’s good to be “on the ground” in real time with the prophets when God first gave these words of hope.

Let’s have one more lesson on Isaiah and try to make sense of how this kind of a book could have come together.
