I believe leadership to be the ability to influence and guide someone.

My understanding and definition of leadership is tied to how Jesus defined leadership. It is in serving one another and not lording over those whom we serve. Leadership, in it’s ideal state, is to serve others in love. Leadership also requires a backbone. It is the ability to make difficult decisions that may not be popular, but are right, as defined by scripture and what the Lord tells us to do. Therefore true leadership is a mixture of heart full of compassion, but encompassed by biblical boundaries and principles. In short, it can be viewed as a mixture of “sweet and sour” sauce!

Leadership is a place of influence and different relationships where I have always tried to encourage people to themselves as God sees them, and to achieve all, God, created them to achieve in this earth and eternity.

Anyone that has influence over others. When you can motivate or inspire others to grow, use and maximize their skills to work towards a common goal.

My understanding of leadership is someone who leads others toward a common goal.
