This lesson gave us lots of reasons to appreciate the Old Testament as the foundation of God’s written revelation. We will be ready for our journey into the new covenant only if we recognize its continuity with the earlier covenants. So, don’t expect to say goodbye to Abraham, Moses and David. They are key figures in the New Testament. And you’ll also find Israel as the continuing name for God’s people. There won’t be one New Testament book that doesn’t have some quote or allusion to the Old Testament. When you turn the page from Malachi to Matthew, you won’t want to leave anything behind!

So stick around and join us soon in our next course on The Four Gospels.
