James and 1, 2, and 3 John
In this course we'll look over a unique contribution to how we understand Christian belief and practice. Hebrews won’t be the last book to use the Old Testament heavily. In fact, this whole course in the general Epistles and Revelation requires us to look repeatedly at the Old Testament to get balance on so many real-life issues.
Our next two modules look at two of the smallest books in the New Testament. Some are only one chapter long. But they each make a unique contribution to how we understand Christian belief and practice. Hebrews won’t be the last book to use the Old Testament heavily. In fact, this whole course in the general Epistles and Revelation requires us to look repeatedly at the Old Testament to get balance on so many real-life issues.
So let’s start with James, a book thought by some to be too Jewish.
