The central message of the New Testament is clear, and it’s simple. Jesus came and offered forgiveness of sin and a new life. Don’t miss this essential truth. Jesus forgave our sin and made it possible for us to spend eternity in His presence. But He also provided what He called an “abundant life” to all who want it. Being a Christian is much more than a ticket to heaven. It is a superior quality of life while we are on the earth.
In this lesson, you learned how to:
- Explain the relationship between the Old Testament and the New Testament.
- Identify how the New Testament is structured and the purpose of each section.
- Reflect on your own goals for reading and studying the New Testament.
Continue to Lesson 2: The Gospels to learn about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
