If you’re more of a literal thinker, then Revelation pushes you to the edge of your comfort zone. John uses impressions and images to stoke our imaginations. It’s a different way to think . . . but we’ve been here before, right? We saw some apocalyptic imagery in the prophets, but we also learned to read Leviticus with an appreciation for impressions.
