This lesson brings us into a new genre of biblical books. This module will deal with two poetic books—the Psalms and Song of Songs. As a new genre, we will see new literary structures (or literary structures used in new and different ways) and new forms of expression. You will see a very different kind of writing compared with that of Leviticus or 1 Samuel or Proverbs. Let’s see what we can learn about these imaginative and emotionally expressive poetic books.
