The easiest way to trace a theme or topic in the Bible is by searching for particular words. That’s always a good place to start. But there are other words and phrases that are also relevant that require inductive exploration. There is no shortcut to reading your Bible carefully and noting any related terms. What you have just done in Habakkuk is good practice for topic studies. Justice and injustice are vitally important topics in the Bible. Habakkuk, like Job, is unusual in that God’s justice is questioned throughout.
