It’s hard to believe we’re about to study our last book in the Old Testament! Will it expand the collection of messianic predictions, or will it emphasize the here-and-now of faithful covenant living?

I suppose you won’t be surprised if the answer is “all of the above.” Malachi is a hard-hitting message about breaking faith and keeping faith. He addresses the vertical human-divine relationship and horizontal human-human relationships.

But at the very end of this book you’ll have a look directly into the life of another prophet who will come just before the Messiah. Let’s discover how Malachi connects all of this in his prophecy.
