Yes, I remember when I was at working and a co worker discussed a comparison of Hindu and Christianity similarities of the faiths. She is Hindu and was describing an icon on her email. She explained that the Hindu religion had many gods “like Christianity…three Gods.” I thought to myself I should respond and help her understand the Trinity but I didn’t. Then, I knew I needed more…so after listening to Voddie Baucham, and being re-introduced to apologetics. I developed more interest in defending the faith. So, understanding that it is always proper to have an answer to questions and or misinformation about the faith and the need to be able to explain what I believe, why I believe it and be able to explain in a clear and winsome manner.

Yes, I was asked recently if Jesus was true then why don’t we have pictures or an account of His teenage years! This was from someone in their 20s and I spent a few minutes telling them about famous historians/lack of printing press/cameras, etc before a discussion of Jesus’ younger years. Finally, we discussed how the New Testament came to be written and why there was no need for a lengthy version of Jesus’ younger years. Of course, the basic question boiled down to the questioner not being familiar with all of the evidence we have that Jesus was a real person who lived on this earth. I hope it opens a dialogue with the young man so we can focus on Jesus rather than more obscure evidence.

Yes – I was talking with my friend who was a Jehovah witness and asked her if they believed in John 3:16? She said they believed that Jesus was a Angel,. After reading the verse n the Jehovah bible – it was changed every so slightly to change the meaning. I did some research on the Jehovah bible was shocked that so many people would believe its teachings. I had many opportunities to explain the differences in the beliefs.

Yes! My adult son and one of my longest known friends, are both non-believers. I love them dearly and want them to know the joy and peace of being a follower of Jesus Christ. We frequently get into discussions and I often fall short of facts to allow them to clearly see what Christianity teaches. I want to become much better prepared, not only for them, but for everyone I might get the opportunity to introduce to Jesus.

I don’t recall the situation in detail, although I can recall the outcome. I was frustrated, angry and by the end of it all I am sure I had blown any witness that I might have had for Christ by my actions alone not to mention my lack of knowledge. I accepted Jesus as my Savior 41 years ago, only within the past year have I begun to have a relationship with Him.
