Overview and Objectives

Lesson Overview

Throughout its history the validity of the Bible as God’s Word has been challenged. Is the Bible really God’s revelation to humanity? Is the Bible correct in all it teaches? Does the Bible contain errors, and how was it translated and preserved over the centuries? These and other questions about the history and nature of the Bible will be addressed in this lesson.

Lesson Objectives

When you complete this lesson, you should be able to do the following:

  • Understand the origin and development of the Bible and the three main arguments for why the Bible is a trustworthy document
