Yes, I have experienced these times when witnessing to others or when giving my salvation testimony. My desire to study apologetics was fueled by times of witnessing to either young Mormon elders or Jehovah Witness persons who have come to the door. I have invited them in to to talk about their church doctrine versus my faith and understanding of the Word of God, and relationship wth Jesus Christ.

Yes, it happens at family gatherings. Cooler heads prevailed as I went into a discussion of my faith and drew deeper understanding from my family members who are non believers. It was actually a very cool moment to have deep, open discussion on God and my beliefs.

Honestly, i can’t recall a particular time when I’ve had to defend my faith. That doesn’t mean that it hasn’t happened, but nothing in particular comes to mind. I try, right now, to avoid confrontations or debates of faith because i don’t have the knowledge to defend my faith well and i don’t want to turn someone away because of my lack of knowledge. But that is why I am here…to learn and grow.

While conversing with my son about why I have faith and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We had a good conversation, but I felt I was leaving some things out and wished I could have better articulated my explanation.

I was with my brother in law driving to the swap meet and we were talking about different faiths. His question to me was, “ how do you know that your religion is the right one ? And how do you know that the Bible is the right answer, to your Christianity.” I was not ready to answer him. I said I don’t follow religion but I have a relationship with Christ. A personal relationship is what I have, and that there is no other religion on this earth that has this. I said that all the other religions ask you to work for your salvation however, with Jesus, we are not good enough to work our way into salvation but Jesus paid the price for you, so that we can have a relationship with God through him.
