I am married to a non believer. We have conversations regularly about the subject.

When I tried to mention Jesus to my uncle who is my mom’s older brother (90+), the first thing he responded to my conversation is the history of Crusades (crusading violence). Because I do not understand well about this part of the history, it has so many details and the cause of it is quite complicated (at least to me). I didn’t know how to respond. Instead, I tried to bring up more about God’s love and God’s other characteristics.

Our boys were raised going to church. I do think they believe but they do not have a relationship. They ask questions occasionally about why my wife and I believe what we believe. We lead a life reflecting scriptures hoping one day they understand and want a relationship with the Lord. We must always give them living words (scripture) to live by with compassion and love.

Yes. I was at a beach and I heard two friends speaking about God. One was drinking and clearly wasn’t thinking very well and the other was JW. I tried to tell the one that was drinking that there is no works in salvation and the other kept quoting verses about works so I gave him my tel.# hoping he would call after he sobered up so we could talk but he never did.

Yes, talking to my 12 year old granddaughter. She is questioning the whole idea of Christianity and I need answers to give her, the right answers. She wants to know why I believe there is really a God. She has a very questioning mind and takes nothing at face value but questions everything. I need to be prepared.
