I was defending my faith to my son. As he was preparing to go off to college, I wanted to prepare him for the challenges he would probably face from professors and classmates regarding his own faith. I tried to focus on Jesus, his death, burial, and resurrection and why we can trust the “eye witness testimonies “ of the New Testament.

One time I was having a conversation online and I guess this person seen out pretty conversation and texted me back asking why I felt the way I did on Jesus. Even though I don’t know today if what I told him got thru or not to him after I finished answering he just responded thank you. I was telling Him how Jesus loved us before we loved Him and He was creator of the earth and everything in it. That He came to earth and died for our sin to pay a debt we could never pay and He arose on the third day that is when the person wrote back saying thank you. I told them welcome but haven’t gotten a message back. But I hope and pray I was able to help them to discover Jesus

When my wife and I were working at the Gig Harbor pool, one of the life guards, an Atheist, wanted to refute Christianity. For a series of weeks we talked through the elements of faith. Eventually he came to a position that he could not refute Christianity and he asked Christ into his heart. It was a good experience. What was often told him was I do not know the answer, but I can find out. The Lord was gracious to lead my wife and I to the right answers.

When I was first saved in 1982, a friend of mine asked me why I would want to change my life so from becoming a ‘Jesus Freak’. I told her that there is a REAL God, and He loves us all, and He sent His Son to die in our place that we may live eternally with an Eternal Father. That I was getting to know Him personally and had been searching for that since I was a young child.
That I was grateful that He saved me and my name was written in the Book of Life. He died for me, now I want to live for Him. -
I worked with a man named Ron who followed another religion and he believed that Christ was only a prophet nor the son of God or FIS I the flesh as some put it. I did not have the knowledge or life experiences to reflect what I would say today so I kept quiet. But I often reflect back and I wish I would have stood up for what I believed in.
