Lesson Overview
In this lesson, Dr. Cohick examines key moments from the lives of the sisters Mary and Martha. Through doing so, she reveals what these two women’s actions and their responses to Jesus tell us about the women and their faith, and about Jesus.
Lesson Objectives
When you complete this lesson, you should be able to do the following:
- Discuss what we can learn about Martha from the raising of Lazarus.
- Demonstrate how Mary’s anointing of Jesus both anoints Him as King and prepares His body for burial and the application this has for sharing the gospel.
- Apply these women’s examples to your own life.
Personal Reflection
As you proceed through this lesson have the following question in mind.
Who are the wisest women you know? What have you learned from them? How has God worked through them to form and shape you?
