We ended this lesson with the question, “Which Jesus do you want?” 

It’s easy to blame this crowd for being fickle. But chances are, we would all prefer a King to a Lamb. Even Jesus’ closest followers lost courage when they saw that he really did intend to die. Part of our celebration of Holy Week is walking in the footsteps of those who hailed him as their king, and then deciding not to follow them when they turned their backs. The path we are on has all along been leading to the cross. So that’s where we’ll turn for our next lesson.
