We’ve been watching Dr. Luke at work throughout this course. Now it’s time to pull some pieces together. Now that we’re familiar with the writing—who is the writer? He wasn’t a disciple, but he was a researcher. If Mark was listening to Peter, was Luke listening to someone else? Since Luke was writing for a Roman audience, did he use a genre that was familiar to them?

Let’s see what we have to learn from someone who was crafting a presentation of Jesus to those who may well have thought of him as a criminal who died for no good reason.
