Watch

lot was going on in the first generation after Christ’s ascension. A lot of major decisions about Jews and gentiles, about church organization, about roles in the new congregations. And there were a lot of shifts in leadership. Obviously from Jesus to His apostles. But we’re also watching Paul eclipse Peter in terms of influence. This is the generation of the apostolic church.

By the time we conclude this lesson we’ll be asking ourselves again, what is it about this era in the church that is unique and what is it that is meant to be a pattern for us to follow today.
