This lesson was a helpful reminder that the early Christian movement was a Jewish movement. While the young churches often suffered at the hands of local Jewish communities, it was in the synagogues that both Jews and gentiles first heard the gospel as a Jewish message.

Let’s not forget as we bring this lesson to a close that the gospel is still today first good news to the Jews . . . and then the gentiles.
