Read the passage below and consider what Paul means when he contrasts people who “are busy” with “busybodies.”

We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good. 2 Thessalonians 3:11-13 NIV

  1. Record your reflections on Paul’s contrast between those who are busy with busybodies (2 Thessalonians 3:11-13).

“Busy people” are those working for their keep and being productive members of society and the Christian mission. “Busybodies” are not productive but meddle in other people’s business. They expect to remain idle from work, but to be fed through the efforts of others.
