All four Gospels give a lot of space to what we call “the Passion” or the suffering of Christ. It becomes obvious that the ultimate purpose of his ministry was accomplished on the cross and by the empty tomb.

Going into this module, let’s do a quick check. How do you tend to think of the death of Christ? Do you think of it mostly as physical pain? Or do you think about it in more of a mystical way? What about the resurrection and ascension? How important is that for your theology? And how central is it for your worship?

This module will get us thinking about the Eucharist, or Lord’s Supper and the Church calendar. But it will also push us to consider the importance of our resurrection life as evidence for the reality of the Gospel.
