I found this section interesting because many (common) people are not taught investment strategies.

And if investing is mentioned to them, for example through their job, the process is not fully explained in terms they can understand. And it is true that many financial planners are looking out for their own profit rather than the benefit of the investor.

Giving to the oppressed or poor is what Jesus expects of us. He gives us many examples of helping the poor while He was here on earth. We do not need to know why that person is poor, only that we should help.

It was confirmed in my heart that giving with the right attitude is what God wants and expects of us who love Him. God loved us first and showed it by giving us his son. I love Jesus and He tells us to love one another. Giving to help someone in need or just to bless them out of the goodness of your heart is obeying what Jesus taught. I am thankful the Lord has given me a heart for giving and helping and I pray I always do it with love. It is challenging sometimes to know where to give because the needs seem so overwhelming, but, I have learned to ask God to direct my giving where it will benefit the most and give Him glory.

I never realized how not giving to the poor is connected to unanswered prayer.

It was eye-opening to realize that with the right attitude giving to others is giving to God. Giving is an act of worship.

I do not have anyone in my life who could give me wise counsel concerning inventing. Also, I am concerned about the many scams in today’s marketplace. I need to pray God will lead me to someone I can trust.

Our parents and our financial advisor. We ask questions about wise investments, retirement planning, etc.

Frankly I can’t think of anyone. I would probably ask him how to assess risk versus interest.

My stepfather, I ask him sometimes, some my good friends invest. I hear them talk about it, but I never knew about it so now I can ask them more questions.

To be honest, I have felt the temptation to become rich in the past. As I have grown in God’s word, I now meditate on His word concerning money as the root of all kinds of evil and understand how easily temptations can creep in if I am rich. Nowadays I am thankful that I have learned that God is the one who gives me the ability to get wealth and supplies all that I need and more. Therefore, I am learning to be a good steward of what God has entrusted into my care.

Be honest with someone about it, repent, and pray.

Probably, the first/best thing to do is to admit it to your spouse and then pray together about it.

When I feel the temptation, I talk to my wife and friends about how I’m feeling and pray. As a believer, I definitely try not to fall in the love of money trap.

Starting early with inventing is the best because you have a longer time for your investment to earn interest. I was amazed when I finally understood that compound interest is paid to both the principal and accrued interest. For many years, I thought only the accrued interest was affected.

For the first time, I realized the TRUE effect of Compound interest on a Principled amount of money. The longer the time invested – the more the Return.

I didn’t quite gain anything. I was thinking, what country and what era were the scenarios based on? In my country we do not get such good returns, unless it was a very risky investment perhaps.

Learning to invest in a way that’s complimentary to you can yield excellent returns if you stay committed to doing it.
