It should be clear by now that Mark was very intentional as he strung together the miracles and teachings of Jesus. Did you sense the flow of events that led inevitably to the cross? We had the high points of the baptism and transfiguration. We had the turning points of Peter’s confession and the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem. But that was all to get us ready for the final week. We’ll dig in some more in the next lessons, but we hope this got you off to a good start with Mark—and with your Rabbi Jesus.
