Getting Started

The lesson ahead of us is a fascinating one. We’ll look for clues about the man who wrote this book and the apostle who was his primary source. And we’ll find ourselves in Rome considering the ways Mark tailored his account to make sense to Romans. Our first clue will be a naked man running from the garden of betrayal. Our last will be another story of Jesus written by a Roman author whose purposes were different—but whose audience may have been similar. Let’s dig in together and see what else we can find out.
