In Genesis we saw God create. In the building of the Tabernacle in Exodus we saw God partner with people to create beauty in the world. A key theme in the Bible that we touched on in the last segment is that we are meant to partner with God in cultivating his creation, not to return to a garden, but to arrive someday at a holy city, the New Jerusalem mentioned in Revelation. And just like the Tabernacle, human people are collaborators in the paradise to come. God is willing to architect beautiful things, but He also has a heart for human culture. In the next video Andy Crouch will look back to Genesis, then ahead to Revelation to make this point.
