As you can see in the lists below, various traditions have slightly different ways of articulating the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20. The differences are largely related to the beginning and the end of the list.

  1. The Samaritan list treats the first two commands as one, making room for a new tenth one concerning Mt. Gerizim. What implications, if any, could come from this combining of the first two commandments?
